How can I improve the performance of elementor/wordpress?

I just recently found your channel. You're very sympathic and I really like your videos. It helps this old head understand Elementor and more. Regarding image optimation, for those who don't want/like to use online services there are apps you can install on your own computer to do the optimization. On PC you have R.I.O.T., riot-optimizer.com/ , and on MAC you have OptImage, optimage.app/. Both are free and works wonder. I'm a PC user so I know R.I.O.T. is working wonders in optimizing images. From what I hear from friends with MACs, OptImage is about the same. So, if it helps anyone... :)

I’m glad they made this discission. Switched from Elementor to Bricks Builder a while ago and being able to use the Crocoblock suite together with Bricks makes it an awesome experience.

Nobody else will talk about the Elephant in the room so I will. Rino, apparently, you weren't aware of it at the time, but you were in the marketing business and didn't know it. A website is one of many tools used to grow and maintain a business. The problem with web design is CLIENTS think of their website as ART, and that's not the point of a website. The CLIENTS are the problem, they make every one of us do double work for the same money because they have no clue what they want until after we build it, and then suddenly they care! They act like asking for cooperation in the project is like telling them to learn a foreign language. There's only one point to a website, engage a customer and EAT (experience, authority, and trustworthiness on the subject matter). That's it, and how do you do that, provide the information they're looking for immediately, or they bounce. Artsy large displaying headers are pointless without the information they're looking for and you lose them. Look at the websites we all buy products from, are you going to tell me Elementor has an attractive website? You are on the right track Rino because marketing entails more than just a website, although a strong online presence is essential. I worked in sales for Clear Channel Radio in South Florida, I can tell you that all agencies automatically get 15% of the sale, so you can offer your services to mid to large companies for free. 15% of a large advertising budget can support an entire marketing business, the key is larger clients rather than volume works best. Rino, I am much older than you and would like to share one piece of wisdom with you, always "fake it till you make it and never apologize for it". Exude confidence because that's what people pay for "EXPERTISE". We all have our ups and downs but as far as business is concerned it's imperative to believe in yourself. I love your educational videos you have more skills than you're aware of, you're humble and always willing to learn what you don't know. Oh, the requirements for an advertising agency are "declare you are an agency", and the same goes for businesses that buy radio, tv or print, "declare you are working as your own agent and get a 15% discount".

Eines muss ich jedoch klarstellen. Viele meiner Kunden möchten selbst Änderungen an ihrer Website vornehmen. Hinzufügen neuer Inhalte, Ändern von Text und Bildern, Erweitern der Website. Das Tool muss also so einfach wie möglich sein. Ich kann mir nicht die Zeit nehmen, meinen Kunden HTML, CSS, das Klassensystem und die Arbeit mit Variablen beizubringen. Außerdem würden meine Kunden nicht mitspielen, sie würden nach einem einfachen Tool fragen, und das ist und bleibt Elementor für mich. Breakdance Builder basiert auf Elementor, aber die Benutzeroberfläche ist etwas verwirrend und nicht so intuitiv wie Elementor. Außerdem haben Louis und sein Team es immer noch nicht geschafft, eine deutsche Übersetzung wie Elementor oder Bricks zu liefern. Ich habe Kunden, deren Englisch auf das absolute Minimum beschränkt ist und die kein Wörterbuch benötigen, um mit Breakdance zu arbeiten. I just want every update to have its own performance section like they've been doing, seeing performance improvements in the updates give me so much more joy than a few function or widget which I've already utilised through other means.

I have been using Elementor for years. Easy to use, heaps of templates on Envato subscription, I want to keep using it. But now it takes 1min+ everytime to open a page to edit it… I don’t like such a slow ship, so I will choose a faster but leaner one, smaller lounges but it moves. If you’ve never used anything else then ok; but if you have used something super fast that never breaks like Generatepress then it’s hard to forgot that. But generatepress is a bit clunky. I don’t to have to need to CSS the hell ouf every website. Tried breakdance, can’t figure it out. Now paid for Kadence, it’s not cheaper than Elementor. But it’s faster; has great templates, seems to even have a template marketplace. So it’s a happy medium. Let’s see. Not everything has to get bigger and slower. Elementor has. Too slow and finally jumping ship. Hope it gets better. Maybe I could go back then.

Holy shit Rino. You nailed down the pain that I have since years. 90% of my clients have zero idea how to market themselves and I spent weeks of discovering for free what they need to eventually raise an offer for a website.

Divi made a huge mistake by removing all the basics, and now every single 'must-have' feature is on the market and costs more than Divi itself. I hope Elementor doesn't make the same mistake.

In my experience, the lowest button width/height should be at minimum 36px to accommodate mobile views. If you MUST; use 32px. All else is too small for typical users to press.

My dream has been to live in South East Asia for the last 5 years, connect with solopreneurs and connect with the nomad community. I would love to know if you have any resources to share on how to go about this as a middle-aged, single women. How did you decide to go to south east asia? Who helped you the most when you got there? Where did you rent to stay at the beginning?
